Level: 55½ ;-)
 
Professions: Mining/Smithing (278/216 at time of writing)
Play Times (GMT): Varied.  Evenings mostly.  Wednesdays and Fridays most commonly, with some day-play at weekends.
Favorite things to do in-game?  Well, questing with either of my RAFs (1 referrer [who's with you guys already], 1 referree) is ace as I get SO much further!   Not tried raiding yet, and I'm starting to get to grips with PVP now.
 
I'm glad to be here and I hope we all get along fine.  I'm pretty inoffensive, and I have a sense of humour.  Whether it's a good one or not is in the eye of the beholder I guess! :-)

Lucke,

Both my Mom and Dad served in WWII. Mom was an army nurse in Europe, attached to Patton's units.
Dad was in the Navy in the South Pacific. The only thing he ever told us was that they were buzzed by a Zero one day. I think he was on convoy protection type stuff, but I'm not sure either.
Mom was all over Europe- Belgium, Luxembourg, France. They took over a chateau in the South of France as a hospital. She has more stories than Dad ever told, the best was a trip she and some other nurses took in an ambulance to a party in Switzerland or somewhere. Some general wanted some girls at a party and they were taken over the Alps in an ambulance. Had to spend a night in one of the huts there due to snow if I'm remembering the story right *grin*.
What I remember most growing up was Mom's absolute loathing of anything that even resembled camping. She told us she used to wear as much of her clothing as she could so her pack would be lighter on marches :). She'd done enough camping in II to last her whole life.
Dad was recalled for Korea as well and spent a lot of time in Japan. He loved it! I'm sorry he never had a chance to go back and see how much it had changed.

Kind of late, but oh well. Does anyone have/had any family/friends that partipated in the wars? If so, if you wouldn't mind, could you share their stories?

My Grandpa was on a PT boat or battleship or something (sorry, i don't know much about boats =)) in WW2. Nothing special.

I have several alts and my highest at the moment is a level 24 Bloodmage named Beguiler that I hope to get in the guild soon. With Artfully, I've been working mostly on crafting lately. She's a level 35 Weaponsmith and a silver-tongued little halfling rogue- level 11 diplomat that I hope to work up more soon.

I'd like to thank Lucke for asking me to join you and for the amazing welcome from everyone online.

I live in the US in Idaho and try to get on for a bit after work, which is about 4:00 pm MST. My husband, Fyndor, and I play most of the day on weekends, so if anyone needs someone to group with, we have a lot of characters from about level 10 on up to 24 for me and almost 30 for him :)
